Woodbridge & District RDA opt for the SOUNDTRACK Surface
What a great week, and what a privileged to be associated with the great things that Woodbridge & District RDA are doing.
This branch has overcome huge amounts and has built this working base from scratch and is achieving great things for the community, our sales representative Ben Hester was lucky enough to attend the open day where HRH Princess Royal visited in person where she officially opened the centre.
We wish them all the luck in the future with their SOUNDTRACK surface, which will work for the many disciplines they plan to take place.
Equestrian Surfaces Ltd have undertaken works to the existing indoor arena at Sparsholt College within the Christmas period so that when the students return they have a fantastic new arena to ride within.
The arena had the top inches of tired worn out surface removed, the lower surface was then power harrowed to rejuvenate and new laid on top. The arena now looks fantastic ready for the open day on the Saturday 3rd February .
Leading showjumper Nigel Coupe chooses to go with Equestrian Surfaces Ltd for a refurbishment of their indoor arena .
The indoor arena was feeling tired and the surface was not giving the energy return Nigel thought it should for the training which was taking place on the indoor. The surface was installed some years ago from a competitor, and the surface over time had become tried and compact, this is common with a lot of waxed surfaces. When this happens the surface will not give any energy return and is quite unforgiving on the horses limbs, this becomes even more apparent when jumping. In worst case senario horses loose their confidence over time.
Following a site visit we found the best course of action was to remove the excess fibre which had accumulated over time, and then break up the compacted waxed surface, this took some time, it was then re levelled and graded for immediate use. From the pictures you can see the difference and you can see the more loosened surface which has been performing great since completion !
Last week we scheduled in a visit to Klampenborg and Jagersro, both racetracks with training facilities within Sweden. Both of these training facilities have Cushion Track down as their surface of choice, and both have received raves reviews from trainers and jockey’s alike !
These establishments are open all year round and the surface has to withstand very hot summers, and harsh winters, and the Cushion Track has stood the test and performs fantastic throughout the whole year even in the snow! The maintenance on these training tracks is key to allow the surface to ride to its optimum, these two specifically have a daily maintenance programme put in place, which allows the surface to work to its best but it also allows for added longevity and energy within the surface.
This week Equestrian Surfaces Ltd travelled abroad to continue there successful installations, this time taking 340 tonnes of the Soundtrack surface with them. The surface was laid in the magnificent 65m x 35m glass fronted indoor arena of Christine Lund Dressage . The base of the arena was levelled and then the surface laid and compacted ready for the clients use. The final comments and pictures are fantastic and they are more than pleased with the end result and ride !
Equestrian Surfaces Ltd are proud to be associated with such a prestigious training facility and wish them all the luck with there new venture.
Classic Dressage who work closely with Hughes Dressage have opted for the SOUNDTRACK in their brand new indoor school.
After previously working with Classic Dressage for the installations of all their arenas they decided that the Soundtrack surface was the way forward for their indoor school, after it working so well for Hughes Dressage. Equestrian Surfaces laid the 232 tonnes of surface in the indoor arena over a 3 day period to allow for training to commence on the Friday morning.
We are proud of the continued support from Julia of Classic Dressage who has worked with Equestrian Surfaces for the last 12 years for all her arenas, and continues to support us today, where all her future elite dressage horses train. Last year we installed the fantastic state of the art outdoor arena on a grid system which has received noting but praise !
A beautifully completed 60m x 30m outdoor arena in the South West coast required a huge 8metre excavation works, to allow for a levelled area to begin the installation.
The arena was a full build from start to finish, including full post and rail fencing a tarmac driveway and then completed with our ECONOMY TRACK surface. They needed 330 tonnes of the Economy Tack surface to allowed for the standard 5 inch depth throughout the arena.
The finish on the arena is to the highest standard and we worked with the client from start to finish throughout the build and planning stages.
College of West Anglia gets a bright new refurbishment of Cushion Track for the new year and new students ! A new term starts and to kick things off the equestrian centre gets a fantastic new surface. The indoor arena looks great with the new CUSHION TRACK surface which has been installed following the removal of the old existing surface. Good luck to all current and existing students and we wish you well in your new ventures ……
