A full arena rebuild.
After determining that the outdoor arena at Bullens Farm needed to be relevelled, Alex Limes enlisted the help of the Equestrian Surfaces team to carry out the maintenance works.
As the job progressed, the surface was reassessed by our team at regular intervals, and it was decided that more extensive works would be required, leading to a full rebuild of the arena.
I had ridden on surfaces supplied by Equestrian Surfaces at a number of competitions, and had always noticed the improved level of support their surfaces offered. Once the works began, the project ran smoothly, and we ended up with an excellent surface which offers no trouble even in the worst weather conditions.
“The maintenance requirements aren’t actually as high as I had anticipated, which has been an added bonus, and we’re now considering investing in another surface from Equestrian Surfaces for our second arena, to replace an existing surface from a competitor which has become very compacted.
“We’re now hoping to start running some competitions, which we feel confident in doing knowing that the surface will be able to withstand the increased level of footfall, and cope with the more complex demands of competitive riding.
“Overall, we’re really pleased with the service we received from Equestrian Surfaces, and our Wax Track is excellent; the ideal surface to accommodate the needs of our riders.”
