Getting excited for the 2022 awards season!

After a great start to 2022, we’re excited to be attending two awards events this June as finalists!

Red Rose Awards, here we come!

Lancashire Business View’s Red Rose Awards is an annual event which celebrates Lancashire business, commerce, and industry, designed to raise the profile of local, Lancashire-based businesses and encourage inter-trading within the county.

This year, we’re delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories; the Green Award and the Export Award!

“We’re constantly reviewing our green initiatives and making improvements where we can to reduce our carbon footprint and become more sustainable in our operations, so it’s great to have that aspect of our business acknowledged,” says Managing Director, James Harper.

“All of our surfaces are manufactured here in Lancashire, and are made using recycled carpet fibres. Our business exists because of our ability to take something that is largely considered to be waste, and repurpose it into something that’s not only useful but practical, durable, and reliable, so you could say that ‘green’ is at the heart of everything we do.

“With our reach having expanded by quite a significant amount overseas in the last year or so, being shortlisted for the Export Award is also a huge achievement. Hopefully we’ve managed to impress the judges and will end up bringing home a trophy or two on the night!”

Red Rose Awards winners will be announced at a black-tie event held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on 6th June, and the team can’t wait to attend.

“It will be our first time attending an event such as this, and we’re really looking forward to getting together with other Lancashire-based businesses and celebrating the successes of all of our fellow finalists!”

Celebrating being a Burnley business

Designed to recognise, promote and celebrate enterprise and entrepreneurship in the local area, the Burnley Business Awards is an annual event supported by the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, and we’re excited to have been shortlisted for two of this year’s awards categories!

“As a family-run business, our heritage is an important part of who we are and how we work, so we’re really proud and pleased to have been announced amongst the finalists in this year’s Burnley Business Awards,” says Equestrian Surfaces Director, Thomas Harper.

“This year, we’ll be attending the event as finalists in the Small Business and the Manufacturing Excellence awards categories, which, given the challenges that have been thrown our way over the last couple of years, is a huge achievement in itself. Burnley as a town is filled with so many incredible businesses, of all different sizes and across a range of sectors, so we know that the competition must have been really tough. It’s great to have been listed amongst some of the best businesses in the local area.

“We take a great deal of pride in the quality of our products, and we put a lot of effort into monitoring our production processes to ensure consistency across the board, so to have been shortlisted for the Manufacturing Excellence award, knowing the standard of the businesses who have been listed as finalists alongside us, is a huge compliment.

“We’re excited to attend the event as a team on 30th June at Towneley Hall, where we’ll be looking forward to meeting and celebrating with fellow Burnley-based businesses, and we’ll be keeping everything crossed for a win!”

“I know the judges were incredibly impressed by the entries, and it was a tough job to whittle them down to the finalists,” says Mick Cartledge, Chief Executive at Burnley Council. “This was especially the case in the Small Business categories, which were by far our most popular.

“It’s testament to the hard work and resilience of our business community over the past two years, and I’d like to thank Burnley businesses for their commitment and perseverance. All the best to the finalists, and we look forward to celebrating the borough’s determination on the night of the awards.”
